Hi there! My name is Marissa McKinney. After 19 years growing up in a small town in Colorado called Basalt, I moved to San Diego to go to school and pursue my dreams. I graduated from San Diego State University at the top of my class in 2018 with a degree in theatre performance. I have been doing photography professionally since 2017 but my passion for photography began much earlier than that. For many years, it has been my goal to show people the beauty that already exists by capturing it on camera. I have focused mainly on headshots, portraits, and art photography for clients. However, I have been known to carry my camera around while traveling or hanging out with friends. I like shooting headshots and portraits outside rather than in a studio because there are so many backgrounds, colors and textures to play with. When it comes to art photography I love painting with light, playing with makeup, and letting who I'm with inspire me. I would love the chance to work with you and capture your beauty!
